ABOUT
Désirée Sprauve is a healthcare strategist, systems thinker, operations leader, women's & maternal health educator, and global speaker advancing how women's health is understood, designed, and delivered. She is the Founder and CEO of The Wellness You Desire®, a global platform guiding women through the reproductive continuum, from menstruation through pregnancy and postpartum. She consults with universities, corporations, and policy organizations to build evidence-informed, culturally appropriate, sustainable solutions to complex healthcare challenges.
Désirée has directly served more than 2,000 women worldwide, teaching women and mothers across the reproductive lifespan through health education, speaking engagements, and workshops. She also served as a full-spectrum doula, which informs her work today.
Before transitioning into women’s health, Désirée built a distinguished career in the Aerospace and Automotive industries, leading global supply chain, manufacturing, and operational excellence initiatives. She negotiated complex supplier contracts, directed a $390+ million global procurement strategy, and cultivated strategic partnerships across the United States, Brazil, Japan, China, and South Korea. She ultimately left corporate to dedicate herself to advancing women’s health, a decision shaped by her own reproductive health journey, the global maternal mortality crisis, and her mother’s life threatening maternal complications during Désirée’s birth.
A proud graduate of Howard University School of Business, Désirée is currently pursuing a dual graduate degree in Public Health (MPH) and Medical Anthropology with a concentration in Health Policy at UNC Charlotte, a R1 research institue. Raised in New York City with roots in the US Virgin Islands and Jamaica, she draws on global traditional healing practices and ethnomedicine in her work.
Today, her work is redesigning what healthcare can look like, putting strategy, education, and lived experience at the center of how women's and maternal health gets built going forward.
Health, illness, and the distribution of disease are inextricably shaped by culture. If we want better health outcomes, our strategies must reflect that reality.
